Neon, in this thread here, Reid was actually being a nice guy. He was just giving advice. Maybe he was an a** to you in a previous thread, maybe not (I honestly can't remember), but in this thread he was just telling you honestly what he thought.

Tell him that you aren't going to follow his advice, fine, but don't be a jerk just because you don't like what he said, or you thought he never supported you before. Either ignore him or tell him "No, too much time, effort, and money put into this, I might as well follow it through," or whatever.

I know you aren't, but you came off as being an arrogant a** so far in this thread bud.

As far as the transmission goes, I agree with hometheaterman in that this is a good example to get the Dr. Evil or APS tranny. Go with tried and true examples. But you've gone this far with your current situation, you might as well go further.

I am not being an *******. I started off this thread once again being positive. Then Reid comes on and says "chalk it up as a loss" and consider it a win-lose situation. YES, that's support allright. I'm dealing with this situation right now in my life, it's nowhere near over, yet the great Reid comes on here and says just let it go man, it's only 4 grand. Instead of offering pointers and suggesstions for the situation I'm currently dealing with, he had no issue concluding the situation. And to me, THAT is being an arrogant jerk, not me. And yes, Reid has been a help to me here in there on this forum. But like most cases, 50/50 is my chances of getting positive help. I constantly receive negative press on this forum, and while most of you are indoctrinated by the "higher perceived" members, you fail to miss the bias I receive so frequently. Put yourself in my position and then go back to where Reid started acting like the situation was over. I'm sorry, but its either I'm getting a new unit, or they are going to fix it. Even Hammer thinks it's the right decision. Clearly Reid is being a pessimist just to be one....don't always be so blind people. I'm an extremely nice person, it's just a shame that people on this forum actually think I'm an ******* lol. They mistake my learning process of trucks as neglegence. Your loss fellas.

I'm taking you have still yet to get a build sheet? I think that would be another step in the right direction. Since they don't seem to give you one when you ask I'd sit there and wait in their store until they got you one.

Why should I "be there for you"? You asked for opinions on a public forum, and I gave you my opinion. Sorry it wasn't sunshine and lollipops. I'm not going to blow smoke up your skirt just to make you feel better about your crappy situation. You got yourself into it on what I believe to be a series of bad decisions. Now I see you wanting to make another bad choice (in my opinion), and I think you'll regret it in the future. Again, just my opinion, and that's all i'm going to give you. I'm not here to "be there for you", you haven't earned that yet.

I knew I wasted my time even replying to a thread of yours. No worries, this is the last time I will make that mistake. Good bye, and good luck.

I wonder if his truck has been in a wreck? The reason I say this is didn't his truck have a lot of weird stuff like a manual transmission dash? Then he had that air hat hitting the firewall which makes me think something else is wrong that is throwing stuff out of wack. Didn't he also have problems being able to get it aligned correctly? I really wonder if this thing wasn't in a bad wreck.

It appears that there were issues here with this truck? I based my opinion solely on the face value of the question, which was his tranny was replaced by XYZ company, it's never worked right and he keeps taking it back to them with no satisfaction.
Looks like everyone else must know about a "history" here.
I just happened to stumble onto this thread and took the question for what it was.

Truck was in rough shape when I bought it. I did carfax the truck before I bought it and it had been in a couple "offroad accidents". The front bumpers were out of whack, hood had been replaced, and some of the doors had been replaced as well. I had also feared the frame may have been bent, but two different shops verified the frame was in perfect condition. After a year I've had the bodyshop fix all of the body on the truck and it's perfect now. Allignment is perfect now too. The rigged liftkit didn't help either, and that's why I took it off and put it back down to stock. The stock transmission never seemed to have any issues other than the fact it had 106,000 miles on it and was lugging around 35" tires from a previous owner who I'm guessing wasn't a very responsible owner. I know it's their unit, it's had problems since the first day I picked it up. The sensitive pedal in overdrive is a new thing though. It didn't always do this. I think it's a result from them having to mess around with trying to make the transmission shift smoothly. At the end of the day though, a ****ty unit is a ****ty unit, so I think they've just been hiding from this pos and now it's all shoved up into that final gear. As suspected they had the vehicle all week and they didn't call me. They can have it till next Friday and that's when the hammer is coming down.

If people actually gave me a chance to hear me out now and then, you'd fine that I have good intentions. I've always thought of myself as a nice person. The moment somebody gives me attitude though, it's my natural reaction to become defensive, as anyone should. As much as some may think I'm arrogant or an *******, many of the other forum members have been equally so. The only difference is that I can admit that I can be a dink sometimes, while everyone else pretends their saints and have always tried to help me. I'm always open to start things over, because I believe I'm a genulinely nice person. I apoligize if I've offended anyone, it's not my goal to **** people off. I wouldn't bother typing to you guys. I listen to what everyone says here too.

With the airhat hitting the firewall, it wasn't hitting the way back part. The lid was hitting the part of the firewall that extends over the engine where the windshield wipers are. Either way, it's a done deal since I have the Volant now. Listen guys, it's really not my initial goal to have controversy, I hate it. I like getting along with you guys. I can admit that I can be a pain sometimes, but on the same token, I receieve unfair treatment from you guys, and it's hard to fight that. If you don't want to accept my part of the apology that's fine, but it's not a one way street with me though.

So no build sheet then? My guess is they keep putting it off for a reason.
