Headed in the right direction
I'm kind of thinking this too. I'd stand there and wait and let them know I won't be leaving until I have one in my hand. However at this point I wouldn't really trust it as they sound like the kind of shop that would just write whatever they wanted down.
It's just so god damn frustrating guys. I wish you guys lived around here and could see what the truck is doing. I'll ask for the buildsheet again too. Everytime I ask though he doesn't give me one. I'm going to have to wait for it now since he's not honoring me with getting one. Just sucks having my truck tied up all the time, I'm sick of it. It's been in and out of the transmission shop since mid February. It's unbelievable. I'm leaving the truck with them for awhile though incase I do get a lawyer. I won't ample proof that they were given an extreme amount of time to fix the issue. I've dropped it with them over 20 times this year, and that's an understatement. I'm thinking of waiting till Tuesday to call them, however, I'd rather they called me. I don't even want to talk to them, I just want to leave it there and have plenty of proof that I gave them time to fix it. Is this the right idea?
Call them. Go down and talk to them. Either or.
Unless you ride them a tad, they won't do squat. They already pretty much told you what they think of you, remember your earlier times with them???
Don't wait. Visit them Monday, figure out whats going on (if they've done anything at all, that is), and wait for that build sheet. Tell them that you need a detailed build sheet if you're going to sell the truck someday, so you can prove the transmission's been rebuilt and tweaked. WAIT in the office while he gets you the build sheet. Don't be cocky or obnoxious, just be level headed and firm.
For God sake, don't wait to visit/call them. Thats the worst thing you can do. You've waited long enough, a week should have been plenty of time for them. All those times before were plenty of time to get the transmission fixed, or for them to at least blame some other issues. They've done neither.
If they don't have it figured out this coming week (and you don't get satisfactory results), consult a lawyer, tell him whats going on, figure out your options.

That sounds good Jason. I'm going to visit him Monday afternoon. And your right, one an entire week to fix one issue was plenty of time. If they don't have it figured it out by the end of next week, I will consult a lawyer. Thanks for the tips.
Reid you really have to get over yourself. People like you have never been there for me, and here you are again only using this as a time to put me down. Stop wasting my time with your never ending negativity. I listen to people who aren't cranky asswipes like you. All I have to do is look at your truck to know your a goober.
All we have to do is look at your truck to know your a goober... what is that about? Reids is one of the best modded and best looking trucks on here. While your pulling stuff off, hes puttin stuff on and making it bad ***. Excuse me, already made it bad ***.
Go ahead and get your tuner, and make a post about that one. then your truck will be disgusting fast and bad ***!
and whats even better, they havent given you the build sheet... 4 months of bull and they still havent given you that. I remember thats one of the first things we told you to get and your ***** aint big enough to get that? Sell the truck and get your neon back, it fits you better.
Chris, at the time when my transmission fried, I was sick to my stomach. I had just finished having my aunt help me buy the truck for $7,000. The transmission fried after 7 months. I had to have my dad co-sign on a lone to help me get a new transmission. He did not want me sending thousands of dollars over the internet, so getting an APS, Dr. Evil, or Fastman wasn't an option for me. He was already pissed off enough that my silly truck went through a transmission.
In regards to Reid, I think he's a very educated and an intelligent guy. Like his truck too. Yet I do receive unfair treatment from him and others on a high frequency level, when really people aren't giving me a chance to explain my end of things. If people gave me more patience, they might disagree with my decisions, but they defiantly would know I'm not an arrogant *******, that's crazy.
Everybody likes to look at the negatives that I've done about an airbreather, but howcome nobody wants to give me extreme credit for taking my truck out of the shop when the lsd was chewed up? My truck sat in my garage for three weeks while I hunted down a cheap open differential. I took the time to get familiar with doing both differential changes, and transfer case fluids too. Waiting patiently to do that rear end job and learning how to do it sucked. I could have easily paid someone to do it for $500, but I waited and had it done for a grand total of $90 after new gear oil. So instead of picking on some of my mistakes, I've made a lot of progress.
When everyone picked on my rigged lift, instead of pretending it wasn't an issue, I took the truck back down to stock and put smaller tires on it. Now the suspension lays true, the truck has more power and better gas mileage. With as much crap that I've gotten for the transmission, you have to realize most peple go through transmission shops. My father was not willing to see me throw 4 grand over the internet for a unit that had no warranty and would still need somebody to install it for us. Although I've been raped by this shop, at least it's tangible. We can tangibly sue these guys if they can't fix it. I have a 3 year/70,000 mile warranty, and they live about 4 miles from me. Yes, it's gone badly for me, but I'm working with is at hand. Instead of bashing what is at stake in the moment, tips and pointers, as Jason has done, is what I'm looking for. Not a grand summary of things you guys thought I should of done. It doesn't help me. I'm learning, give me a break.

Just so others don't get the wrong idea most of the transmissions you order online do have a warranty. My APS has a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. So yes it's a year shorter than yours but it is unlimited mileage and I don't have a ton of problems. Not sure what Dr. Evil's warranty is but pretty sure it has one. I think I paid $400 to have mine installed or $450. The rear end was one price and the transmission the other I can't remember which was which but it wasn't bad. I then did pay $150 for a custom tranny cooler install plus whatever I paid for the transmission cooler so it was more than 4k by the time I got that but in all honesty for just the transmission which seems great I must add having it shipped to us and installed was right around the 4 grand you paid. The cooler was extra though but it's a super nice setup.
I'm sure the APS is a phenomenal unit, even so, my dad would never allow that. He's not completely old school but he's also not down with putting money over the internet. It's his money too. I cosigned on the loan which meant the majority of the loan is going on his dime, so he wasn't going to let me just put $4,000 into some transmission. I bet it kicks ***, but it wasn't a realistic option. He told me to find a shop and drop it with them. I found New England Transmission. They usually do put out great work too, but I guess they hit a badspot with my truck. Doesn't suprise me though, it's usually how my luck goes with these sorts of things.
