the nut is tight. I took it to a shop that specializes in steering. They had it a few weeks. Zero improvement. Geno’s Garage today referred me to Rock Solid Steering.

That's a bushing at the base of the column. Easy to tell if that will help at all.... Grab the steering shaft right below the column, and give it a shake. if you see the shaft moving in the column, their bushing will help.

Yeah, I don't think the Rock Solid Bushing issue will cause non-rotational slop at the steering wheel in the cab.

I also posted a bearing I believe will work in place of their bushing. A few bucks on Alibaba. If you find play here (OUTSIDE, at the firewall) I have a spare bearing I could send you. Would love to know if it works as I haven't tried it yet

I replaced the steering colunm, steering gear box, power steering unit and tie rods. zero improvement. Truck is in excellent shape. Truck has 540,000 on it. Very tight still since I bought it new in May 1994.

Host the video elsewhere, and just link to it here. I do not think the forums will let you upload them.
