Need some help....Temp gauge not working

Default 99 dodge ram 2500 v10

Temp gauge doesn't move off of cold replace sensor,sensor plug,water pump nothing it moves if I put heat to the thermostat housing any ideas

That's odd..... if warming the sensor makes it work, then, it *should* work.... it's a two wire sensor, so, not like it needs to ground to the block....

Will this help reset mine aswell, mine is reading opposite actually hotter then what it is. Sorry not trying to highjack your post

Nope, doesn't reset anything, just tests all gauges and bulbs.
