99 Dodge Ram V10-temp gauge sensor location
I'm replacing the thermostat and was going to replace the sensors for both the computer and the temp gauge. From what info I can find, both sensors are located in the t-stat housing. However, the t-stat housing on this engine has only 1 location and it's for the computer temp sensor. I cannot find another location for the temp gauge sensor. Would the computer relay the temp info to the gauge as well? Any ideas?

Im thinking my antifreeze/water ratio was off.
A few months ago I replaced a radiator hose and flushed the system. Only drained it at the radiator drain and added 50/50 antifreeze.
I knew better. I should have checked.

What is your ambient?
Hey You is right. Does the thermostat housing even get hot? V-10 is designed with a constant bypass of coolant to warm the engine slowly, help maintain cylinder seal.
Unless you are down around zero, don't think you could overcool a V-10.
Early V-10 had two temp sensors. After '97, only one.
