yeah, I'll try and keep up with commenting on these tires as the time goes by. I do have to say tho, was 480$ to have them shipped to Omaha, NE. I ordered them on a friday night, after business hours, and received them the next Thursday, in great condition. Was pretty satisfied with that.

not me. i figured that it would make the tires wear faster since it says that it puts small pits in the tires as the tires wear down.

I got the kedge grip also, but I haven't experienced them without it. I wondered also about if it'd make them wear faster, but decided to just try it. If it makes them work better on ice/ snow, then I figure it'd be worth them wearing down a tad bit faster. When delivered tho, I looked at the tires, and couldn't see any holes/ pits anywhere, so I dunno if I have to get some wear on em to see it, or what. The shipping papers say they have the kedge grip. Anyways, it was 10 degrees this morning, and the streets on the way to work were nothing but ice/ packed snow. I didn't even have a reason to consider using my 4WD. Don't know if it was the walnut/ glass or not, but these tires have great traction. Could also be the new 1/2 inch deep tread tho.

That's my thinking, as well. They only have the 285s with the Kedge Grip in stock.
