My drive shaft is screamin at me. Its not a screeching or squeal its just like i can hear it spinning. I was told by someone that i need it to be respun or straightened out at a shop have any of ya'll heard of such a thing? Its not affecting and of my driving its just a noise and when i have the back window open its very noticeable.

Are you certain your U-Joints aren't shot?

Yes, there are driveshaft shops that specialize in that kind of work. You will usually find them around industrial areas and truck shops. Also expect to have your worn u-joints replaced before they rebalance the unit.

you might have noise coming from the rear end, either gears or bearings. pinion bearing noise can travel down the driveshaft.

respinning ? what's that ? re-balancing ? unless you've hit something and bent it, or lost a factory weight, i've never know anyone to need the driveshaft rebalanced.

The noise is constant and its not my differential. I've been working everyday and haven't had time to run around and check the shops yet.

Mine did the same thing and when i would let off the gas as if the rearend had no or very little load on it, it would begin to whine ended up being the pinion bearing was shot so i did a whole rearend rebuild.
