Default stock lift? and wheels

Hey, i recently bought a 1996 dodge ram 1500 sport..and i was laying underneath it the other day and noticed my rear springs had like 2" blocks under it..as far as i kno the truck was stock ..so did dodges come with stock lifts? or is this aftermarket?...im asking because i want 2 lift the truck..but befor i decid what i wanna do with the truck i wanna find out what i have lol....also will 15inch rims fit on my truck or are the stock 16 inch wheels the smallest i can go?.... cuz i wheel with prettymuch all chevys and dont have alot of money..so i can get alot of 2nd hand tires cheap but they are all for a 15 inch rim..thanks

I have seen lots of 15" wheels fit without rubbing, even 10" wide ones. It all depends on the backspacing.

Dodges came stock with blocks under the rear springs.

If you buy a lift kit it will come with everything to lift it properly, including the rear. Some kits come with all new blocks, some kits come with a block to stack on the stock block (not recommended), and some come with complete new springs which go on the stock block. All depends on what kit you get and how much money you wanna spend.
