RE: GEAR RATIO ON OFF-ROAD EDITIONS
depends on the size off tie you will be useing. i have the 5.2l and i will be switching to 4.56s after the lift and 35x12.5x20r tires. 5.9l you might not have to go that ratio do to more power. the strange thing is i have 3.90 in now from the factory. from what i understand most non offraod rams without the towing pack didnt coem with that raiito. i think i kinda got lucky.

RIGHT NOW, IM RUNNING 265/70/17'S. JUST BOUGHT THEM
USED TO HAVE, 265/75/16'S. I THINK THEIR THE SAME DIAMETER.
EITHER WAY, NEVER COULD LITE THEM UP LIKE I WANT TO. ONLY WHEN WET![:@]
ONLY MODS I HAVE ARE K&N FIPK AND A CATBACK EXHAUST, "VORTEX CHERRY BOMB"
RUNNING SYNTHETIC OIL B/C IT'S SUPPOSED TO INCREASE HP.
WTF

yeah i noticed a diff too when i went to 20s and a larger tire. when i had the stock 16s and 265s i could light them up just thinking about it.now it takes alot more. i still need to do my exhaust. but first thing is to fix my rearend the ring and pnion are f*&ked. then im thinking of doing a tranny **** kit. i just changed over to syntheic oil too. not for the horsepower because i was told it wouldnt be noticable, but the the life of the motor. i just hit the 90,000 mile mark and dont want it to take a **** on me just yet. it runs alot better and idles a bit lower now when i change my gears im gonna run synthetic in the dif too.
