Default The dodge let me down again.

Went to Miami this Saturday. Took the truck down so the wife and i could pick up our new bed. The truck was getting around 16mpgs almost 17. Not too bad.

On our way back, going past downtown Jacksonville, I hear this crunching, griding noise. I pull off the interstate on the first exit i came to, then pulled into a parking lot. Had my wife drive it back and forth next to me so i could hear the noise. It sounded like a wheel bearing. I pulled the front passengers side wheel off and spun the hub. Sure enough, it was crunching and hanging up. No way the truck would make it another 300 miles. BTW this happened around 10PM.

I called my brother and him and his father in law came down with my tow dolly to tow us home. Did i mention that my brothers father in law has a duramax chevy. Chevy towed the dodge home! I just had to throw that one in there.

My wife and i hung out in a pool hall until 2am drinking beer and playing pool. We didnt get home until 6AM this morning. Crazy Saturday night.

I expect my Ram to continually let me down as long as I own it. I know it's pessimistic and sad but stuff wears out and breaks for no reason.

last time you went out you got a speeding ticket.
this time you tore up the bearings.
you better stay home next weekend.

at least there was an open beer joint nearby. it'd been my luck to happen in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah im definitely staying home this weekend. The tow truck driver actually recommend the pool hall. I told him we just needed a place to hang out for 3 or 4 hours and the pool hall was open until 2am. He said he always goes there.

It was just kind of weird drinking beer and shooting pool on a saturday night in Jacksonville, FL 4 hours from home. We kept going outside after every game to check the truck, and our bed. I didnt want anyone to make off with my 3k dollar bed.
