alright, thanks......didnt know if i could just remove the od and get to it or not............any tips on anything else?

No, the shift kit should fix you up. The hard part is going to be getting the valve body back up in the trans. The long park rod is a pain to get back in the hole. If you get it back up in there and you can't hold the valve body up flush against the case where it goes, it's not in the hole. How did you get the valve body out, did you take the clip off the rod or ddid you turn the back wheels until it slid out?

ok, I'm going to the shop tomarrow, I'll takes some pics and post them for you to help with getting the valve body out and back in. Just make sure you scotch the wheels so she doesn't roll on you. I'll have the picks up tomarrow afternoon.

Take your time. I have pulled out the valve body on the 46re when the tranny was out, and it was a PITA. Put the truck up on some good jack stands so you have as much room as possible to work.

It depends if you are going to pull the rod out with the VB or not. If you are , you will need to be able to turn the back wheels.
