im thinking about putting a shift kit in my 46re, tired of the car like soft shifts
but i gots a question, will it make the trans any less likely to die, mines in good shape and i don't beat on it hard

Photobucket FTW!
After you upload them to photobucket, you can title them and write in directions or whatnot, and it'll even write the IMG code ink for you to slap it into a forum post. It'll also resize and compress them for you automatically.

yeah, the way it is now is like letting off of the clutch slowly, which creates friction and heat.......shift kit should help it live longer
Do like transguy said, leave the park rod in. It is not fun to put back in. Put the ebrake on and chalk the wheels. When you unbolt the valvebody let it come down a little until you see when the park rod connects to the VB. Take out that clip.
My advice? Leave the shifter linkage on the outside, take the park rod clip out first. Your gonna need two hands in order to catch that clip. Once the park rod and the VB have parted ways, undo the shifter linkage and the vb will fall out.

nice sig.
I bought a Sonnax sure cure kit last month and I've been waiting for spring break to install. A pic of the parking rod E-clip removal would be nice.
