yea im gonna wait until i have cash to put in the shift kit, and prolly also summer when i have time, along with it a gauge and cooler, get it ready for long trips with the jeep

I'm not sure if its the tranny as a whole or if its the fairbanks shift kit, but my truck shifts
HARD! its nice.

ahh, a picture's worth a 1000 words.

The sonnax kit comes with a replacement e-clip in case you loose or break the one you had.

I take it by the pic you should remove the manual valve and then pull the clip out. reverse on install.

okay, im confused someone help clarify because my solenoid is shot to and I am to replace it, I have a 97 1500 with a 5.2 and I actually tried to take my solenoid out because I saw the refurb post on here hence why I joined ,but anyways my sensor and solenoid were mounted in a bracket next to my filter,.i checked it by hooking.the solenoid up to a 12v source. so my question is what tranny do I have and Ifi buy a b&m replacement for a 46RH will it work with my setup and if not what should I get? hell before I drop $$ lol im not good with trannys.

How did you determine solenoid was shot? Need a little more info.

You should have a 46RE in there. The two solenoids on the same bracket are O/D, and TCC. If your trans is an RH model, your check engine light should be on constantly, with various trans codes.

when I dropped the pan there were little to no metal shavings, and I have two codes for the governer setup (P1757, P1756) so I kinda assumed that's my issue.

I have codes out the ***, I have two governor codes, a TCC code and a 3-4 miss shift code. my truck is a base model of the base mod
