very true, but a common rail has a higher towing capacity, so they say
id like a P-Pump 12 Valve, with twin turbos, water/methanol injection and a huge fuel plate, and a 5 inch straight pipe coming out in front of the rear tire...
...but by the time i get a newer rig, ill be able to afford a common rail, and by then all the 12 valves would be getting quite old

I'd like to get a 24-Valve or a Common rail for my dad when I buy Purpl. That way I can drive Purpl and the S-10, and he can take the Cummins to work.

on these oil filters size is not all that matters.... if you an find a smaller filter with higher microns you are doing just as good.... for example take a 5in. long filter with 10 micron and a 2in long filter with 30 micron i would say the 2in. filter is better.... so take all your filter stock and long ones and compare microns and see which one is realy better.... is longer always better?

The WIX 51085 filter(stock size) has a nominal micron rating of 20.
The WIX 51515 filter has a nominal micron rating of 19.

But here is the price list for it...
http://www.wefilterit.com/orders/100/index.htm

But there cover oil (gas or diesel), fuel (gas or diesel), transmission, etc...

I would think any quality oil filter would perform nearly equal. I think the most important thing is keeping the air filter clean so do don't contaminate the oil. Most oil analysis i've seen point to the air filter playing a bigger role in contamination.
