Yay! Nothing like increasing your oil capacity by two quarts...

whats the thread size? I think if you run a remote oil filter and a sandwich adapter, you can mount it anywhere. What are the specs on that filter? what size is the smallest particle it can catch? 10 microns?

Why? You dont need a filter that big for your pickup truck. A NAPA Gold 1515 filter will do you fine.

I'm really getting a really good laugh from this thread.

There's the stock filter and then someone finds a bigger one. That's ok but then someone finds an even larger one. Can't stop there - who can find the BIGGEST one! Whoohoo!
I think you guys are eating too much fast food. When you go to the parts store and get a filter do you ask "can I supersize that?"

Don't get offended, lighten up - I just had the "supersize it" thought and wanted to share it.
Now I'm going to finish my triple decker burger and super big gulp.

We like the things in our life to be big. I guess the guy who put the oil filters on our truck didnt have the ***** to use the bigger filter.

I bought several of the big filters in anticipation of changing the oil in my Durango which has the same engine as my Ram. I used the big filter on my Ram.
Well, I removed the small filter from my D, put oil in the new big filter crawled under my D to install it and duh! it doesn't fit. The big filter hits the frame. So now I have no clean small filter. So, I had to make a special trip to the store to get one.

So, there

There is a reason for the small filter. And I had to find out the hard way, again.

thats what takes the filter, we fill the filter with oil before installation to keep from starving the engine of oil, thats how big it is
and the 2 fuel filters, hydraulic filter and coolant filter/conditioner are all bigger than our oil filters.

The tractor has a 6 cylinder inline diesel with 355 HP at the PTO, a 10 speed powershift transmission, and a big *** turbo charger hanging off of the exhaust manifold.

Hey gang... I know I'm a total noob on the gasoline side of the Dodge products... But us Cummins owner use a bypass filter like a frantz Filter or simular to aid in filtering the oil...

I change my TP roll every 3K and change oil and main filter every 10K... Would this apply the same way as what you guy are aiming for?

Here is the manufacture site...
