Well, one of the big problems is that she bought a $10 oil change. The cheapest CRAPOLA oil that I have ever seen costs at least 15 bucks. Something is up there. The same thing happened to my aunt, took her Mazda to Wal-Mart. About 2 months later, driving down the highway, the filter blew off and lost all oil pressure. Walmart said, not our fault.

Wrong size oil filter!
After looking at the film, Meineke installed a Pentius filter with a thread size of 13-16-16 instead of the thread size of M20x15 that the Sentra requires.

Right, so if you install the wrong filter with the wrong THREAD size then yes, it could blow off. IF the thread size in FL-1A and the Mopar one, it will work. Especially if a member on here has been using that for 22 years.

Well, the Napa 1515 size was used back on Mopar small blocks back when these engines were first designed, and they were just changed to the smaller size in the 80's to save on costs.

i have a 96 F150 5.0 and its oil filter fit my 01 5.9 ram. the ford filter was about 2x longer and the same diameter and everything. the threads looked the same. so i screwed it on and it fits perfectly and i get more oil in there.

They usually have more square inches of filtering media giving them more dirt (for lack of a better word) holding capacity.
