360Dodgeram360
Kenne Bell only thing available for you as mentioned. Not many of them around & may need a rebuild depending on mileage its been used. Their optimizer fuel/timing management was crap from what I heard. Think they made about 6-7psi and would see 35-40% increase in rwhp unless overdriven. Hotter air means less hp as well as you cant run as much timing so hp reduced further.

KB I believe starts to make boost at 1800rpms and by 2000rpms is at full boost. Good for towing but will reduce mpg depending on gears. 70mph w/391s my 5.9 would spin 2200rpms and the Procharger would be about 150rpms away from starting to make boost. I could get decent mpg with it if I wasnt playing around too much. Playing around alot I got as little as 120miles from one tank of 94oct. Wanna play? Your gonna pay!
Centrifugal s/c are more cost efficient to operate and progressively increasing power is easier on the trans/driveline IMHO.

Talon6, Im not aware of any reason why you cant run a Procharger kit . 360 block/heads werent changed so mounting locations should all be the same for the headunit.
Marty at KRC will probably charge 4900 for the same as whats supplied in the kit at the link you posted.

Teddy, thanks

Optimizer is a piece of $h!t. Most KB came from the factory with a 6psi pulley but you can
order different pulleys from KB.

All 3 of the P-1 models are rated for 1200cfm compared to the D-1SC at 1400cfm. All 3 P-1 have different max impeller rpms (one has same as D-1SC), one has a different internal step up ratio, 2 have the same case as the D-1SC. I believe the D-1SC has differences in the impeller design from the P-1s.
If you look at the pic above, right beside the ac line that heads towards the fire wall is the slot head oil fill screw, there are 2 more screws on the underside of the head unit. Bit tight between the main & sub brackets getting at them but its doeable

indy...do you ever get any belt slippage?

and what about injectors? i see the kit doesnt come with any. do you have to get bigger ones or are the stock ones good enough?

I did have some belt slippage cause of making a lot more than stock hp prior so the engine would spin up much faster and the u/d pulley I used was smooth, not ribbed which made it much easier to slip.

Stock inj work fine on a stock motor with these kits. They supply a Proflow inline pump with lines & check valve that goes between the hardline fuel connector just behind the front wheel well.

The Aeromotive DFMU(just ahead of airbag control box on floor) controls the fuel pressure. As boost increases an led above each of the 5 sliders lights up one at a time and that slider adjusts pressure for that boost level. Procharger gives suggested dfmu settings that had the fuel safe and fairly close to good a/f ratio. Only took minor tweaking to get a/f 11.5 to 12.0:1 (they recommend 12.0). The painted plate the dfmu is attatched to I made/painted, wasnt included
With the 408, I wont be running the DFMU or the Proflow pump.

thanks indy. i know you get a few questions on this stuff. but most just want to talk about it,i am going to actually do it. getting bushwacker pocket flares and a rough country 5 inch lift. then its time to start saving for the supercharger kit. probably take a few months but i am planning buy the middle to the end of summer having it installed.

thanks again. when i get it i will be hunting you down for tips for install and tuning.

Base Procharger kit starts at 4600 for satin finish P-1SC, 2core air to air intercooler and digital fmu (variable rate)which should give 8-9psi. Guys Ive talked to that started stock with the base kit saw 55%rwhp gains.(if well maintained/good compression) I detuned, removed the ramairbox and under drived the D-1SC (w/3core) on my mild 360. 7psi gave me about 49% increase above what I had prior to detuning.
KRC only shows the larger kit now, call them if you want the base kit. They supply the D-1SC headunit and rated it 10-14psi and supply stronger headgaskets and 2core intercooler ATI/Procharger rate the D-1 for 10-12psi. Not sure, KRC may supply a different pulley or is being optimistic
Looks like a typo on KRCs Procharger kit. They say $6500 on the main page but if you click "add to cart" it shows $5k.

My planned all forged/mild 408, ended up radical. Needed to replace everything I was using prior, so last 2yrs been collecting parts and painting, polishing & powdercoating everything I could under the body that I missed first time around. Here's what it looked like with the mild 360 w/polished D-1SC & 3core a/a intercooler.

What a package of joy and tire smoke!!!

Yeah they just dont work for me. I regretted going red after doing it, just been too many other things to take care of that were more important.
