I really disliked the Walbro pump I put in my Firebird.... had to modify the sending unit, and then, the pump failed in less than a year.... Had to replace pump and sender if I wanted to be able to drive home...... (fortunately, at the time, I was working at a GM dealership.....)

1000cc injectors? You do realize, that is a LITER of gasoline....... do you really think you need that large of an injector? I suspect that no matter how low you tune the idle injector pulse, it will still be running terribly rich......

I think a forced induction 408 would be stellar though. No idea about the intercooler, but, I bet some creative plumbing could make it work....

You are going to need a pretty serious trans behind that much motor though..... it will smoke the stock 46 in seconds.... the NV3500 even faster.
