Default Need more info

I've done the search on the p0748 code and know what it is. Does anyone know why I would get this code just by dropping the pan and changing the filter, andjusting the bands, and filling the tranny. Truck is still on the jack stands in the garage. All I did was start the truck and slowly go through the gears with the brake on. I cleared the code last night and started the truck this morning and it tripped again. I'm a little confused but maybe when I adjusted the front bands could I have knocked the sensor somehow? Could it be from not topping off the fluid yet?

Trans is a 46re.

Thanks for any advice.

Did you pinch one of the wires between the filter or pan by accident? Or knock off one of the electrical plugs.

Don't think so? I am taking a guess that this solenoid is in the pan I just don't know where. I guess I'll have to drain the pan and look at this huh?

Yep, it's in the pan next to the valve body. And if you have not already done so, install a drain plug in the pan. Life will be alot easier.

Drain plug was just put in this service so eventhough I don't want to pull the pan the plug I installed will make it easier. I'm new to this transmission stuff so I'll ask...is it behind (above) the filter I installed? A picture would be great if you are able to direct me to a site that would show me.

Thanks for the responses.

When you open it back up you will see the wires and the solenoids.
