The time has come
Well the time has come to replace the motor. Over the last few years it has been loosing power and now oil lol. But I guess for it being a work truck its whole life and after almost 300,000 miles and no major problems with it, I can't complain. A leak down test showed the best cylinder to be 23% and the worst at 51% and an combined average of 39%.
Now for the new motor... I picked up a 360 block over the weekend and just got done ordering a 408 stroker kit from a guy on Ebay and some Iron Ram heads from Clearwater Cylinder Head. I already have long tube headers, modded kegger intake with the plenum fix, 52mm fastman tb and 14"k&n. This is going to be on a budget build but still want it to last a couple more hundered thousand miles.

The block is out of a 99 ram, Who knows how many miles are on it lol but it is in good shape. It will have to go to a machine shop to get bored .030 over and check the clearance for the longer stroke. I'm just waiting for the stroker kit to get here then its off to the machine shop. I'm going to do the final assembly my self. I got word today that the guy has to order the pistons for the stroker kit, it will be delayed 4 to 5 days.
