Default Two questions for a 96 dodge ram 1500 2wd.

Ive got two questions thats been bothering me.

A. My tranny needs the bands adjustment , and when I drop my pan i would like to replace the pan with a deeper one with a temp sensor , and a remote oil cooler port, My question is , Does it matter the 46re/rh and if it does, how do i tell what tranny i have, is there a marking on it?. Also any recomendations to a good tranny pan would be appercated. Money is no object for pan. I have a 1500 , with 2wd and a 318. Automatic tranny.

B. Im going to be moving out to SoCal with my family to go live with my brother, and im really big in to the prerunner/baja races out there. Been my childhood dream. I was wondering if anyone knew of any places that sold prerunner parts , like bumpers / fenders / and stuff like that for our trucks. Im having a horrible time searching. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appercated.

EVERYWHERE down here sells stuff like that. Not for 2nd gens though. Most of what you want you will have to build yourself. What part of SoCal are you moving to? If you are coming to San Diego I'd be more than willing to give you a hand, I've done a bit to my truck to make it more desert friendly.

haha irronicly viper , thats where my brothers located as well. It wouldnt be soon tho, im planning after collage, so like 2 - 3 Years. Im really kinda saving up for the Ford Raptor, Heaven forbid me , but i love that truck , and its a desert friendly vehicle from factory.

How is our trucks in the desert being two wheel, I know pre runner is more 2wd trucks. Since ur more exposed to it , is the ram a good base?
