Stumped by Brakes

Unless fliud is leaking from the calipers from the piston or bleeder area then they probably aren't bad. I would say you have an air pocket in the system and aren't getting it out. You should also check the line running over to the passenger front to see if there is a leak there. I would bet that is where you are having your problem. Check it over real good first before replacing any other parts. If you still have teflon tape on anything get it off of there. It has no business on a brake system. It could actually cause a leak or worse if you are driving it with it on there.

All teflon is off the lines, and the line going to the passengers side is completely tight and dry..Is there any other ways to bleeding the system...The rears are perfect, not a bubble of air,,And now the passengers side is perfect, not a bubble...I am still having problems with the drivers side...2 calipers, and 2 brake hoses later, and still have air..

Sounds like there is an air pocket for sure. Do you know anyone who has a power bleeder system? They work awesome and would eliminate any air in the system for sure. Have you tried bleeding the proportioning valve itself? You would need someone to hold the brakes on and crack the line loose going to the driver side caliper and retighten like you would at the bleeder. Do each line there and at the abs control module. That should eliminate air pockets if you can't beg for or borrow a power bleeder.

I have bought a power bleeder from Motive, but it made more of a mess then anything..The adapter for my 1995 Rams Master Cylinder sealed like crap, and as soon as I put some pressure to it, it just pissed out the top seal.. I tried to tighten and reseal a few times, and it just wouldnt seal..

..had a clutch master cylinder once i had to pull the back snap ring and let piston nearly come out to get out air trapped in back...
...this was even after after the old trick of lifting front of truck up on high stands and letting it set over night with the lid off the master and trying to let nature bleed it out the top...
...but i've never had a bad booster give me soft pedal...when they go out or you lose vaccumm to it....its so hard you cant hardly push it...
...re-bleed the master in a vise...over and over and over...
...i know you are saying no way with the rear brakes being good...but try it...
...redzone....

I must admit I only skimmed this thread so pardon me if you tried this already. You say you changed out all the lines and hoses I assume you flared them yourself. I know that a few lines under the hood are DIN flares and not SAE double flares. Some have a DIN flare on one end and a SAE Double on the other. Using the wrong flare will cause air to get in. Also the pressure bleeder is a good idea to get the air out of the master but you don't need to pump it up much. The cap will probably leak a little reguardless beacause it not a threaded kind, but just wrap a towel around it. Bleed the RR first with a tube submerged it a container. Start the truck, crack the bleed screw loose and tell your assistant to keep on pumping till the air bubbles stop. Proceed with the rest.

Thanks guys for some other options...I will try them in the next couple of days...I spoke to a representative from Motive yesterday..That is the maker of the power bleeder I purchased..From what they told me, I was using the wrong pressure cap for my truck. I was using the universal plastic cap when I should have been using the universal METAL cap...But of course, that doesnt come with the 130.00 kit, you have to purchase that extra.. Did anyone run into that problem with theres
