it'd look decent but it would severely reduce your light output. all that shiny stuff in the lenses are to reflect light, with it blacked out you'd be no better off than having a flashlight taped to your fender.

If you have ever looked at a Sport headlight, you would not say that. There are 2 types of chrome in the Sport headlight, Trim and the Reflector. I would be just painting the trim that does not have anything to do with the reflecting of the light.

My stock headlights seemed like that anyways...

Actually, the side walls AKA trim, reflects the light outwards to give you a wider beam. It might not affect it much, but I'm sure you'll notice a narrower beam....

what kind of sealant would you use to put it back together when you're done? i can always use suggestions for chems that haven't tried before.
