Hell yea it would. But I think an auto is better of off roading no clutch to burn up or stall.

OK, guys, no need to be getting personal over this. Anyone is welcome in here, even a Chevy guy who has not yet seen the light. Lets not go bashing one another over stupid stuff.

But I have seen the light I have had a Dodge I guess I was looking for opinions about how similar the 98 was to the 01.

Funny thing is I liked my dodge just sold it to one of my Marines when I didn't think I needed it anymore.

My room mate has a 94 and a 07 deisel the 94 is a auto and has some serious issues so asking the guys who have had them for a while thats what Im looking for.

i doubt i'll convert to 4wd. not to say i dont want a 4wd its just converting causes headaches and what nots. and plus selling it later on would make it tougher. have thought about it thought, just the cons seem worse than the pros

i agree with that transmission belief. i've already stalled a couple of times, and been rough on the clutch with what little off roading i can do with a 2wd. i am surprised as to how much i can do lol. i love the dodge suspention height even on the 2wd. aint good for gas mileage but hell i've yet to bottem out (knock on wood)
