I.O.D. (Ignition Off Drain) Fuse
I worked it out after brutally removing the carrier (like so many others).
It did go back as intended, so I can’t have done much damage.
I find it strange that there is no mention of how to remove this fuse in the owners manual.
Once you know how, it’s easy.
And what’s the logic behind having a secret bat-squirrel holder on the IOD fuse in the first place?
I know, I know.... It's so frustrating to try to figure out all these encrypted idiosyncrasies. Honestly, I read for acoupla hours before attempting to remove this fuse, and was still very unsure while I did it.... Hence the pics. I hope it helps others with this common problem....Now back to chasing down my electrical short! LOL
Hi everyone. New member, first post. I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 190,000 miles. I got the dreaded “no fuse” on my dash display. Everything listed that is associated with the IOD fuse does not work. But the fuse is good. Now where do I go from here? Does this mean that my TIPM needs to be replaced? Looking for advise before I shell out hundreds of dollars for a new TIPM that might not even fix the problem… and help given is greatly appreciated.
