Default Truck not starting all the time

Ok, my truck is not starting all the time when I turn my key to the start position. A couple of days ago it wouldn't start at all with about 10 tries and then it finally did and I got it home and it did the same thing again. I replaced the starter yesterday thinking thats what it was but doing the same thing. I also replaced the starter relay in underhood fuse box. Battery is reading 12 volts.

Today at lunch I went to start it and it made a couple of click noises and then fired up but it was sluggish. I have an Optima battery probably about 3 years old.

I've all the connections that I know going to the starter. Once it engages it fires right up.

Yeah I'd first start scrubbing your battery connections and checking your battery cables.

No, when it doesn't start there is nothing. If somebody else is standing by the fuse box you can hear the starter relay click but nothing else is happening.

Yesterday it fired right up in the morning and when I left to go home from work. At lunch time it made a couple of clicks and then started.

Battery or connections.Take it to advance or autozone and have them check to battery for free.

my sisters truck didn't want to start a while back and she changed the ignition switch and the positive cable that goes from the battery to the pdc because it was blistered and in pretty bad shape. after that she didn't have a problem. i don't know which one did it but i think it was the cable.
