lifting the rear
now i know everyone says you can go 3" on stock shocks but my question is does that apply to only the front end or does it also cover the rear? i'm thinking about getting some 2" add a leafs just for a little more height.
i just leveled the truck yesterday and now i'm wanting to raise the rear and put the rake back in it because that will mean more height. the main reason i leveled it was to get some more height to keep the tires from rubbing the fenders, i wasn't concerned about getting it level.
this is what i'm thinking about getting- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-94-...Q5fAccessories
am i going to need new u bolts for that?
this is the other one i was looking at but i'm leaning toward the skyjacker because i figure they would take longer to flatten out. correct me if i'm wrong because thats 22$ cheaper.

There both leafs In due time they will both sag. You are mostly paying for them "name". I would just put new shocks on it anyway. (better ride.)
Yes you will need new u bolts and nuts.
And call them and work them on the price

my shocks are brand new, that's why i was asking. i also figured that skyjacker would use a stronger steel since they have that name to protect, but if the tuff country leafs are just as good i will go with them.
You can add 1" in the rear before you need new shocks. Anything over that i would recommend buying the 2-3" lift shocks for those aal. That is info i got from topguncustomz. You can lift the front up 2" and still use stock shocks. I think it cost me around $130 for rough country shocks and four black shock boots when i lifted mine
