you can save alot of money if you port it yourself...then you might be able to do more on your rebuild list.

it took me about an hour to do mine.

if you're going to port it then you should go to a hardware store and get some dome head allen bolts to replace the oem bolts.

+1 on the bolts...that is an old pic...i followed aims painting and went ahead and finished it.

but i wasnt taking the air cleaner off again to take another pic...LAZY

i probably gunna do that next weekend as a project since the TB is really easy to take off.

im just amped to get this thing together. now i know i should see some performance gains.

man seeing this thread makes me look forward to winter, im doing the plenum, timing chain, t-stat, machining my TB and some other fun stuff

have fun with it. i know i am. i love digging into a motor.calms me down.

its pretty easy too. timing chain is easy as well.....maybe i should do that since its all apart?? but i dont hav slack and my gears/chain looks alright (when i did the timing cover 2 months ago...shoulda replaced it...
