Exclamation Problem with low gas mileage

My MPG. Epically blows. Its like 5.

I have a 99 ram 1500 5.9 V8

Small tires may help, the ones i have now are 305/70/r16

Any suggestions would help greatly.

Thanks!

Have you tried a basic tuneup ?
Sounds like your plugs may be FUBAR, tho vehicles with messed up plugs typically don't run great.

yes do a serch, but look into the TB for oil. if there is the plenum is blown. The plenum is mounted to the bottom of the intake manifold, and thee are a few flaws with the design that allow oil to enter the manifold, and it can clog the CAT, ruin 02 sensors/plugs. mine was blown and didnt know it cuz it ran great, was getting 9-10 MPGS,

after doing plenum, intake mod, and others, i am nowgetting 13-14 city, and (NO JOKE) about 16-18 highway with my 95 5.9 SLT 4x4 with 195K

but the work thats been done to my truck in the past 20K miles has come to about $10K
