I don't have any of them hooked up. I have another antenna just for the cb.

Whoever said they had a hood mount, do you get a lot of static or no? I was thinking about either mounting a 3' or 4' there, or getting duals and mounting them on the bed sides.

Hood mount is working out great for me with 3' Wilson fiberglass.

Wilson antenna's are great as are the fire sticks. I prefer Wilson antenna's myself though. If you go for duals it should be purely for the look and I'd only hook one of them up. They are supposed to be I think it's like 8ft apart to work properly. If closer which they would be on a pickup truck they interfere with each other and work worse than if you were just running one.

As for the Cobra nightwatch is it the Cobra 29 nightwatch? I had one and didn't like it. The main problem I had was the speaker in it seemed kind of crappy. It was really hard to understand anyone and it didn't seem to reach very far at all. It was okay but having used other CB's I didn't like it much. After I got it many guys that had recommended it to me told me that they forgot to tell me that you needed a external speaker as the internal one sucked. I didn't want a external speaker so I sold it for most of what I paid and just got another radio that has been a much better radio.

my cobra 29 NW has been a bitchin' radio, reaches a good distance, clear as a bell (even with shorted coax lol, gonna fix that next week sometime) the speaker it came with worked just fine, but i installed an ext. b/c it's impossible to hear anything when your going 70+ with the windows down

also i hung the mic from the overhead cousoul by means of a gearkeeper

my dad's 29 Black Chrome reaches nearly 10 miles (we can't use it now, my sister laid his truck on the driver's side after plowing a tree on saturday)
