while you all are here .. i tore the hood liner off a few weeks ago, (sagging and broken clips) what about under coating that or, high temp paint , like used for painting engines, i know the replacement aint all that much , but what are your opinions on scuff and paint with high temp paint or undercoating?? just diff option than going thru the same thing or dynamat.....i dont want to regret tearing it down in the long run

NO, your dead on the money. I had a tough time with the 80s and early 90s dudes that looked like chicks. Most sporting "BIG HAIR" and "guy"-liner. That whole time period (the 80s LA scene) was out there.

i ripped mine off last summer when i saw the back of it was starting to sag right over the header. i also ripped my sisters off on christmas eve because it was sagging.
a little more engine noise (barely noticeable if at all) is worth not having to worry about that crap catching on fire from hitting the manifolds or getting caught up in the belt.
fixed, with the exception of Metallica getting together.
