Default Towing with a 1500

Just got a question for those of you who have towed enclosed trailers, Ive towed 2.5k lb 20' flatbed steel trailer and a 6 ton partial enclosed curbing trailer before (My truck didnt not like pulling the second one at all)but never an enclosed trailer with my truck. Im looking at getting a 7x14' enclosed trailer roughly 1 ton empty, to tow about 3 quads about 350-385lbs each + gear. Anyone know how an 01 1500 5.9l with a 7in lift on 37's 4:56 gears and heavy duty transmission rebuild would haul it? Its a young truck still 65k miles, trany was rebuilt at 55k or so due to overheating in the mountains or longish trips.

You have 37s on 1/2 ton axles?

My truck would pull that no problem, but I'd be worried with yours.

My brother bought a 28ft. camper years ago and wanted me to tow it to his place 15 miles with my truck. So, we hook it up and take off.Had plenty of power, but no control. We got it there.25 MPH.He followed me on the back roads with his flashers on.

The truck would have no problem towing it, would just be careful with stock axles

i agree with everyone else...ive pulled a 28 ft enclosed full 4 zero turn mowers at 500lbs a piece and she did great. also pulled the same trailed to help somebody move from one house to another and it was stocked full and still she did great. little slow from a stop, or a steeper grade hill but i was fine, i have 5.5 inch lift and 35's

I haul trailers and outdoor equipment with mine, plus my 30' TT everything stock, but then again my tranny just went out last weekend. You got the power and the gears but I would worry about axles and u-joints with those tires
