Blinker electrical problem. Need a little help
#22
What were the added problems you had? In the space of a couple of hours tonight, I lost turn signals, insturment panel lighting, and now tail lights. Fuses are all good, where should I look for the faulty ground wire?

I replaced the switch with an aftermarket one from advance auto. its very shiny and pretty, but the problem persists. I narrowed it down to only right turns, and its not immediate, it will work for about 5 mins before blowing. I'll try tracing the harness from the right tail lights, but with the utility body, i doubt it's the same wiring as the stock truck. And when it was the ground wire on the left tail lights, it blew the fuse, not the flasher. Kinda gettin to the end of my rope with this thing though, so i'll try about anything atm.

Blinker issues
I seem to be having a similar problem with my 94 Ram 1500 4x4. I have replaced the brake light switch, headlight switch and today the turn/wiper/hazard switch. Is the multifunction switch one that I am not seeing or is that the one the one that controls the turn signal/wipers/and hazard? As for the ground at the rear of the truck where exactly would I look?

Today I checked all the coonection in the rear and there is not crud or corrosion in any of the plugs. Does anyone have an idea on where the body ground or any ground wire would be. Also I have a remote started that the previous owner had installed. Do you think that could be causing this wierd lighting issue?
