I did this yesterday. I like it alot better than the old fan. I put my shroud back on though.

Ok, I'll take some pictures. I also took the 14x3 off, I couldn't stand the sound of it anymore.

Actually a great idea to reinstall shroud as most of the cheaper electric fans don't have a good shroud to direct the airflow... Flex-a-lites is very nice though which is what I have...

I noticed about a 1mpg increase. The truck does feel like it has less stress on it though... A noticeable difference in horsepower but nothing major. My estimate is maybe 7 or 8.

I just through on a 14" tru-flo fan, it doesn't have a shroud on it at all. Thats why I put the shroud on. But, I probably would have gone with a better fan if I had more money to spend on one. And, I probably would have forgot the fan was there since it is so low profile. That would hurt!
