I know mine ain't gapped that much

 

Those Bosch + plugs (suck)....Run a much bigger gap than regular plugs because there are 4 electrodes that dont exactly meet up like a regular plug does.

I run a .4 gap.

 

The msd guys run a .050 gap. Mine are gapped at the factory and non-adjustable. The big gap has something to do with the way the diode is shaped and how the spark jumps around to all four ground straps. The spark jumps from the tiny diode in the center sideways to whichever ground strap attracts it first.

I installed the towing tune before going to work Wednesday night and I didn't have any spark knock, so I assume that if I run 89 octane and have the tuner set to the 91 tune that it'll all be good.

I plugged "gifs" and "gif pictures" into google and surfed a few different sites devoted to .gif images. Some of those things are pretty damn funny.

I read through all post, great btw, im trying to see if any of you know if the expected power gain is the same for the SC 3715tuner(saw sum1 mention never saw reply). I cant find spec besides 3815 n newer. Only down to the 3715 i saw was mail out to update. Is there anything I should know b4 purchasing. Is it worth the 300+ to but the new models. Thanx Fellaz. Gotta 98 5.9 so im excited to try. Also as a funny, wonder if i put on a monster energy sticker if id get a sponsor since i leave a green trails everywhere. New radiator on order...

 

As far as I know, the 3715 and the 3815 have the same tunes for our trucks.
You can get a 3815 on ebay for 150-200$.

 

Ive been on ebay fishing for a while, they all seem to hit 200-280used im bidding on all of em soon enough ill get. just found a super deal on the 3715 so i figure if same tune then why not. Age doent matter if functions the same so be it i have to send to update. Its a dodge, ittl still keep me goin. This may be off topic as a ctd question, my pops has 04.5 cummins and wants tuner for soly for mpg and tow mode for his camper n boat. Is it worth the money for just this reason. Performance will never-ever be used.(ex. he got 165k off origional tires never rotated)its more than babied. He only replaced because the first 2 layers dryroted, still had tread.
