Default Door buzzer

Can I disable it any way, it annoys the crap outta me, that I want to see what it is like to ride with the doors off this summer in a full size truck. I looked at the fuse box under the dash and there is no fuse in the spot that says buzzer.

either take it out, or just break it off, i broke mine a few years ago, only thing is it doesnt remind you if your lights are left on. but no big deal, i replaced it and remember now how annoying it is. there is the little black thing in the door jam just put your foot up on it and let your foot slip. problem solved.

there's a buzzer fuse, or the buzzer it's self. I removed mine.

I read somewhere once that you can replace it with a newer style that chimes rather than buzzes. The part number is 56007373.

I haven't tried it myself; wonder if anybody else has.

If you look at the fuse panel on the side of the dash its towards the front of the truck on the side of the fuse panel its a black box you can feel it buzzing.

are you talking about the buzz/chime that's created by the door open/key in ignition condition.

if so, there's an easy fix. there is an electrical connector on the ignition switch. remove the covers from the steering column to expose the base of the ignition switch and unplug the connector. problem solved and you retain you other warnings regarding headlights on, low fuel, etc.

^ ram has a good point. if you're going to ride with the doors off, then your dome light is going to come on. you might want to just tape the door switch down or disconnect that wire.

i think so. the "key in switch" indicator is likely the same.
