Default 2WD lift questions

Alright Im brand spankin new to this site ,and brand spankin new to the world of Dodge... dont throw rocks at me but im a chevy man and have been for years .Until my brother bought himself a Dodge 4x4 cummings about 5-6 years ago. Well my story ....I scored a dodge sport extended cab 96 model for under 400 bucks.Yes it does run and yes it does drive, with stipulations. The tranny is shot and i have already tried the solenoid route and no whanno..so i have to get my tranny rebuilt, plus as well as some cosmetic work...the heat and a/c works and the 318 runs strong. I would like to put a 4 inch lift on the truck and slide some 33 underneith her . But the down side is the truck is a 4x2... would my creation of a 4x2 lifted 4 inches be out of control or to much, or is it possible and would anyone of u guys and gals recommend a body lift or just do a suspension lift...Is my idea worth it or should i just fix the tranny and sell her ,make a profit and leave the world of Dodge.....

I think lift spindles are fairly expensive for 2wd although I have never priced them out. If it were my truck and I wanted to lift it, I'd go for the 3" body lift because of the cost savings. Then you might be able to fit those 33's. For a $400 truck, I wouldn't be dropping huge amounts of money into a lift.

Remember, he is a Chevy guy, so he is in love with those crappy torsion bars.

Iv used the Tbar's to drop a truck before and shim the spindles to correct the negitive camber, but how would one correct positive camber from rasing a truck with the Tbars ?

Unless you are referring to a Chevy, A 2 wheel drive Ram doesn't have torsion bars.

33's in stock rim? like 285/75/16 or we talk 33/10.5/16 diff back spacing rim

285/75/16 on stock rim 1.5 coil spacer no rub
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...fter-pics.html

i had a buddy with a 2wd dodge 3in body and 35's with a little rub in the front so he cut a little bit.

coil spacer to level it out and then a body lift would look sweet

First let me say,the job (at&t) has me tied up for 17 days straight , thats y im just know responding......

Greenram , so you have a 6 inch lift on a 4x2.....wow. please please send me some pics i would love to see how she stands..also how does she ride and did you have trouble with alignment. so did you put 4 inch blocks out back??

now to the other guys thanx for your info....purpledodge not sure if you know your trucks....but my chevy truck does not have torsion under it ...its a 89 chevy truck lowered 4 inches up front and 6 inches out back riding on 20`s...and when I((note.. I) lowered it i saw no torsion bars...so it might do you good to explore another make of truck and widen your horizons...
All you guys are awesome...like I said thanx for all the input ... ...
