If I get the aluminum for scrap price, $39 plus shipping (probably priority mail). That leaves me with a $20 profit. Plus it would come with a FEL-Pro gasket and grade 8 bolts. But IDK if I can even get enough metal to do a couple.

I like how YOU think my friend!!! And if you can't sell them ALL for cheap. Then just sell ME one for cheap and mark up the price on the rest! Just thinking "outside the box".

I think what people are trying to say is the price that Hughes charges isn't horribly out of line. I work in a maching shop making custom stuff and that price isn't out to lunch

i would use a jigsaw with a fine tooth blade for metal.

I will use a jigsaw if I started making them for people. Mill is a one time deal for me.

Those things are made for sheet metal. IDK if it would really work that good, though.

I'd use a plasma cutter, but I love sparks and cutting with heat haha.

I ordered a Huges kit a few months back and when i got it i just sighed when i saw its just a piece of 1/4" bar stock. but the nice thing about it is its cut by water jet so its got some nice clean holes and edges. Bar stock that size isnt exactly cheap and a water jet is an expensive piece of equipment. But i would have made one myself at work on the turret punch if i had a good template to go off.
