Hughes engines
Most restocking fees that I've dealt with were for good parts returned for some reason. As in I bought the wrong one, or I didn't need it after I bought it. This is not a good part in my opinion. I don't like the idea of having to weld a high dollar manifold, because they have no quality control. A restocking fee in this case is 100% wrong. This is just my opinion, And you know what they say about opinions. Is APS any better? I wont buy from a company that treats their customers like this.

I got my hughes stuff today and checked it all and the plenum plate looks nice and flat. It just has some gouges on it, but that probably only makes me lose like 10 hp, right? They even threw in a couple stickers and newspaper! Sorry you didnt have a good experience. They told me when I bought it that it would be here today, and it was! No complaints here

yeah but a restocking fee is only for a customer returning a non defective product....it has nothing to do with getting a defective product replaced with a good one...they are using it wrongly to discourage and muscle someone out of their money or to keep a crappy defective product and get it repaired on the customers time. I agree with smitty..

I have dealt with Hughes Engines for years both personally and professionally. I can count on one hand with a few fingers chopped off the number of problems I have encountered with them. And, those few mistakes made were always made right. I have had plenum plates delivered before with some tool or bit marks on them, but nothing that would compromise the part.
Well, we will see how fast they can get me the new plenum. I called today and another guy that works there answered the phone. Told him th problem. Said to ship just the plenum back (they are paying shipping) and they would send a new one out. I don't know who did the attitude 180 there but we will see how long it takes to get because the first guy said it was backordered, this guy made it seem like a couple of days. So I'll give them the chance to make up for their mistake and go from there.
