Well i did the external voltage regulator bypass and guess what?? cured all my problems. Ill post pic and instructions later on how i did mine. It is very simple just 2 wires. now on to the short for my tranny temp sensor....

Glad you got it, now, the short for the tranny sensor is in the PCM! So you got to bypass that too ! LOL

By replacing the pcm. Did you try the pcm you got for $50 bucks or whatever?

No. I havent actually got it yet... The have four for my exact truck. I wanted to see if the regulator bypass cure the issues in the engine... I figured it would... Im gonna replace the PCM. Was basically just tinkerin to see the outcome....

there actually is a DIY for it. bug i did take some pics and was gna DIY 2mrw.... Bc I did mine different from what The DIY already here says...

search for charging problem or charging issues... I cant remember the thread name exactly...

OK. I got mils code 37**.... Any thoughts... Says torque converter clutch selenoid or trans temp sensor too high or too low... How do you distinguish which it is?? Or are they in the same curcuit??? Probably another issue in the PCM huh??? I should just replace it and see what that does....

I posted a semi DIY regulator bypass, but since I was having other issues that required a new PCM, I lost interest in it, as the new PCM made my need for the bypass disappear.
Its still bolted to my wheelwell though, in case I ever need it again.

Glad it worked, I think it was a stroke of idiocy to put that function in a computer in the first place.

Don't worry about that at all. It says voltage to high or low. I have had that with two different motors, transmissions, and computers, for 15K miles. I don't know what it triggering it but it doesn't effect anything.
