Yeah, that's what I thinking, exept there may be a "fire" before that happens. I also noticed the indicator in mine was off, turns out the plastic cable insulator is broken in about 5 places. Don't know if the PO tried and failed or what. But judging from some of the "Jerry Rigging" i've had to correct. I will be finding something else in no time. As for the trans cooler lines... Maybe I'll just park in the grass for a while... not mine though, the neighbors are on vacation...

I just bought a set of Taylor Cable High Energy wires, Summit cap & rotor and new coil. I've been dealing with a pretty random misfire and it seemed to have started after I changed my wires, cap and rotor about a year ago. Of course I didn't put 2 and 2 together, and have since replaced plenum gasket & plate (this one actually was necessary), upstream O2 sensor, done Seafoam treatment, etc. When none of it helped, I figured that either the wires, cap or rotor must be defective. Well, the more I think about it, I realize that when I replaced the wires previously, I paid absolutely no attention to routing except for routing them in a way that made aesthetic sense. I haven't taken a good look at the routing yet, but I'm quite sure that there are more than one undesirable overlap in there. Never even thought of the fact that routing would make a difference, but I figure that since I have the new parts already bought, I might as well use them and follow the CORRECT routing instructions as per TSB. Hopefully this will fix the issue. Live and learn, I guess...
