I got them from John at Southeast R/T. However, they shipped from Ohio, where Harland Sharp is located.
Makes me scared to bey the HSs. But I guess it is an innocent mistake. You should get a set of hardened pushrods for your trouble. I would get something out of it. Tell them that they were the last thing you needed to do and you are out of a vehicle until they get you new ones.

Huh? Things like this happen, were all human. I dont need hardened push rods, either. Anyways, I've got my rocket S-10 to roll around in. That bitch can pop wheelies.

Actually I understood his post perfectly and agree. Get something out of it... Overnight shipping or something. As far as not needing hardened push rods... thats up to you too. Since you remove the guide plates when installing these, hardened push rods would be perfered so they do not deflect. And if you want to go that far, technically you should replace your valve springs too if you put 1.7's on stock heads with over 40-50k. It used to say it right on the harland sharp website before they re-arranged it. Reason is, your springs are broken in to rebound at the ~1.6 ratio. Then you put 1.7's on and expect a broken in spring to compensate for the height difference. While it may not impact so much at low rpm, I was told by them that in the upper rpm's you could experience "valve float" if you did not replace the springs. That is one of the main reasons I never put them in even though quite a few people have done the 1.7 mod. It costs a good amount of coin to do it properly. Wish you luck!
yea if its being towed lol.....j/k (even though if it was towed it would be from the back lol)
That is true. That truck is only fun once you take it over 60 mph. And that takes FOREVER! My dad has got it up to 100 on the highway. The death wobble would shake the teeth out of both of us at 75 mph in the Dodge.
The rockers are fine. My dad called John and he said that they press them onto the shafts to keep them from rattling around in shipping. And the cutting oil they use is sticky, so that makes it hard to pull them apart. He said not to worry, you wont break them!
John Mercedes is an extermely nice guy, and he really knows his stuff. I reccomend buying from him 100%
