She sounds good....so it was just the plenum and the 1.7s that you did right? any you noticed that much differnce.....i noticed a good difference after the plenum fix, but now i want to try some 1.7's

I did the plenum, 1.7s, timing chain, water pump, spark plugs, and oxygen sensor. So I'm seeing gains from all of that. Pretty much a brand new engine with 180,000 miles? As you can see, my timing chain had lots of slack in it!

HOLY ****....first up on my list Timing chain....dont know if it has been done before....minor minor slack (hardly any) when i did timing cover gasket 4 months ago....i got 201K

It was $37 for a new U.S.A. made Cloyes. Replace it.

i did the timing chain on my 93 Nissan 4x4 by myself...so i think i can handle the timing on this...i got to get a timing light...now i heard that this truck is TDC at #6 cylinder compression stroke....this is wrong right....its the #1 cylinder compression stroke...(havent looked at write up yet)

I didnt even bother with that. Just line up the two little dots and go.
I believe it is #6 TDC.

I need to do the timing chain on the S-10 next (Why I asked!). I suppose that will be harder because there is so much less room to work in. In the Dodge, I can take off the fan shroud and sit on the radiator. Its kinda comfortable because you are arm's level with the motor. Its easy, I knocked mine out in 2 hours.

i was thinking when i take the chain off theres two darker links that line up to a dot on the gears. The gears are on key weights, so they go in one way, so is it just a simple swap without having to do TCD?

ligned up as it was before obviously

My mom said it was snowin like a b!tch in Maine the other day, when she said the day before was in the 50-60's




and cool....i have 1 day off a week now, im busy like 24/7 now lol...maybe a week from this wednesday ill do it.
