My sad story hope this make someone else feel bettter about getting screwed!
OK well here is the deal I live in WI and sold my much loved 95 Ram 1500 in February because I had toasted my 318 (sad) and have been looking for a good deal on a 3/4 ton since.
so last week I finally found one, I drive down to Illinois to buy it and is seems good 1999 2500 4x4 4.10 gears 360 with 162,000 no rust (one tiny spot on D-door) take it for a test drive its got a little spark knock nbd I buy it!
so now comes the sad part i am driving home and notice my oil pressure drop after about an hour and it starts to howl 2 hours into the drive the passenger wheel bearing flops and ! loose all oil pressure I lost 5 qts of oil in 100 miles and its not leaking!
I have had it for a week, looking for a new 5.9 and have put a track bar, right and left outer tie-rod ends, 2 wheel bearings, all new ball joints upper and lower(both sides, power steering pump and steering box into it and it still needs more too much to list lol
I am going call it a work in progress it will be nice when its done ( I have to keep telling myself that)
the moral of the story is I love my dodge and I hope this make anyone who has gotten screwed feel better it makes me feel better to write it down in a place where someone might actually care!
