Hi MonteC. I'm doing the Check Valve Delete and the quick connect fitting end has what seems like a plastic plug with two little ears on it plugging the back. I've tried the trusty screwdriver, needle nose pliers, prayer. Nothing's working on getting it out. The disconnect tool wont go in with it on. I didn't see it in the DIY and was wondering if maybe its some after market thing or what. Any ideas?

3500 rpm at 62 mph
I drove my truck from Iowa to Missouri yesterday. If I came to a stop, or close to it while I was passing through a town, and then tried going back to 60-65mph, the tranny felt like it would not kick into overdrive and revved clear up to 3500 rpm's at 62 mph. I tried pushing the o/d button, and it didnt change anything. Tried speeding up/slowing down and it still wouldnt kick back down. After pulling off the road and checking fluid and linkages and shutting the engine off, I was able to get back on the road and have it shift like normal. My truck did this at least 4 times. Any ideas as to what could be going on?
Thanks a lot

Parts & Sources
Thanks for answering my question a while back about my 03 CTD W/48RE. I'm gathering parts to do the 60k maint, deep pan, check valve delete, Sonnax Sure Cure, and Dodge to GM solenoid & transducer swap all at once. The prob I have is I'm having trouble finding info on exactly parts are needed for the Dodge to GM governor solenoid & press transducer conversion. Is there an adaptor I need, and what GM tranny is the solenoid & transducer from? I called my tranny parts source & they need to know what GM tranny it is to look up the parts.
Thanks

Dodge "RE" Governor Solenoid to GM
Pressure Control Solenoid Conversion Kit
#REC. This kit was specifically designed to handle higher base pressure in high performance applications and to improve the reliability of the governor solenoid in normal use. In performance units the pressure can flood the Dodge solenoid and cause a no shift condition at full throttle. This is the fix. Fits all rear wheel drive RE model transmissions. Cost $149.00

Checked all of them. All are good. I drained the Transmission and looked around. It looks like the reman transmission used the old Solenoids when they rebuilt it. I went ahead and ordered the Sonnax Sure Cure Kit, Lock up and OD solenoid with harness, Governor pressure sensor, governor pressure solenoid Upgrade, TCC Boost clip plate(the old one looked like it was about to break), and a 4 ring accumulator piston. I know I could of probably not bought some of the other things but since I was already in there I went ahead. I also did a mild modification to the 1-2 shift and TCC lockup. The 1-2 I drilled out to 3/32. The 2-3 was already at 9/64 which seemed kind of high to me. The TCC Lockup I drilled out to 1/16 per the Sure Cure Instructions. The Accumulator piston did not have the smaller spring on top. From what i have read there are some with the spring and some without. I reinstalled the VB and buttoned it up. Dumped the atf+4 in and Checked everything out. I can't believe the difference. The transmission has never acted as well as is does now. Even when it was newly rebuilt. Side not the 2 holes drilled for 1-2 shift and TCC Lockup are not very severe they are just noticeable.

Could be a flooded governor pressure solenoid, or one giving a weak signal. Could be a bad ground, or possibly a vb problem.
