i was thinking about this today as i was gonna get my cat welded on. i should wait to have that welded on if i havent done my plenum correct? my reason is because who knows how much crap is coming through the exhaust if i havent fixed my plenum yet. is this logic okay or should i have gotten it put on bc the plenum wont make a difference on a magnaflow cat.

it just seems *** backwards to put on a new, clean hi flow cat but yet have the possibility of **** coming from the motor through the cat...

That seems perfectly reasonable to me. Fix the plenum first.

+1. I got mine put on before I even knew about the plenum problem. Probably knocked the lifespan down by a ton. Don't forget to pick up a new o2 sensor also. Doing my plenum Saturday with the o2.

i have two 02 sensors. the precat probably needs to be replaced the most right?

i'll go with the OEM 02 sensors even though hughes states we should go with the one they offer

ya the post cat O2 just verifies that the cat is doin its job... not as integral as the front one... I don't think it gets affected to badly by the plenum deal
