neil what are you saying try to unhook the o2 sensor and try it i did and nothing i also checked power to it and it has power for the first couple seconds
That's normal behavior. ASD relay is enabled for three seconds, fuel pump should prime, and then it all shuts off until the PCM sees the engine cranking. Then it will enable it again, and start doing its usual stuff. If you don't see voltage at the coil while cranking, and the fuel pump isn't running...... crank sensor may be bad. I have no clue how to test that, without actually swapping it out though. Unfortunately, a bad cam sensor can give the same results. What we really need, is a copy of the diagnostics manual.... that might help......
The problem with the crank sensor is that there is really no way to test it without the motor running. Ridiculous I know. The motor has to at least be cranking, similar to testing the cam sensor.
i have changed the crank sensor, cam sensor, cap, rotor, wires, tps, i checked the PDC it was clean i checked i have power to all the senors for a second or two then nothin i also ran the comupter after i changed the tps and it said 0 codes but still no spark then i checked it again it said 1 code p0123 TPS/pedal postion sensor a circut high input ? what that means idk because i looked and their is no PPS on the pedal i checked the rotor is turning when i am cranking the motor thanks for the help yall
doesnt that mean the computer on the truck is fine if all the other stuff is working the check engine light comes on and fuel pump and wuldnt the handheld tell me the computer on the truck is bad
