Default New tires + new toy (pics)

Hi all, I just thought I'd share a couple of recent pics of my truck. I bought a set of 265/75/r16 BFGs a few days ago and then today I picked up a new (to me) boat. It's a '76 20' Sea Ray with a 351 Windsor inboard. It needs the fuel system cleaned and some electrical work, but I should have it on the water within the week. My truck does pretty good pulling it too.

Thanks guys. Yeah I really like the color too, that's one of the main reasons I got this truck instead of a few others I was looking at. I went over the whole truck with a color matched paint pen a few days ago and I'm very impressed with how well it hides paint chips and scratches. I can barely see the damage on the front bumper from the stump I hit a few weeks ago. I highly recommend those paint pens.

One thing I've found about touch up paint (the brush/pen type, both in the cap) is if you brush it on then wipe it with your finger and do it again after it dries then it'll look better than if you just brush it on.

The truck does good pulling it, and looks good pulling it. Very cool pics. I am moving down to 265/75/16 tires when it's time for new ones.

IMO that's the color to get on a 2nd gen. Very sharp.

I have 3.55s, so no, it doesn't pull fantastic. I does pull better than a few other trailers I've hauled so I guess I'm happy.

I've always been horribly dissapointed in the way my truck tows. There is no chance it will tow with OD on, so that rules out any highway driving. I don't wanna be pulling 3200rpm just so I can keep up with traffic, it's not worth it. Not that I would ever pull with OD on anyway, that's a surefire way to burn up the tranny. If I ever need to tow something over 1500# more than 100 miles, I'll use my parents Nissan Titan or my GMC Siarra.

If I knew this truck would be so worthless when it came towing I never would have bought it. But now I'm stuck with it, so I'll make due with what I got.

yeah....THIS IS TRUE!!!

I actually used a paper index card when i did it. had to do it a few times. THen once it was nice and level I used Meguiars ultimate coimpound and a variable speed buffer.

Basically you treat it like bondo...except you are being more surgical.
