Would you buy another Dodge Ram???

I'm actually a fan of the suicide doors, I don't know why but I am. I am glad they brought back the crew cab with 4th gens even though they have the crew cab and quad cab backwards to me. The crew cab has a bigger cab while the quad cab has the bigger bed...should be reversed if you ask me but on well. I like having 4 doors but I don't like the big cabs so if I went 4th gen I'd have to go with the quad since it's the smaller of the 4 door cabs.

My last truck:
Neither me nor my girlfriend had a scratch from this. (This at was about 50mph)
Now, a friend of mine had a Toyota Tundra, maybe it was a little newer, it got in an accident at no more than 20 miles an hour. The whole dashboard came up and hit his son in the head. Gave him a scar. And this was when his truck was brand new. Not 13 years old like mine.
So obviously, I bought another one. And still would.

well i've owned them all and I just bought another Dodge if that answers your question. Chevy used to have a good truck and now they are cars with beds, if you put them thru some hard work or off road they'll fall apart, i hate fords steering but all my dodges and have been bullet proof, well except the one that met the oak tree head on dead center at around 50 but hey that wasn't the trucks fault, i guess I'll take the blame on that one. I still have that motor and trans in another truck and it still runs fine with 200,xxx plus on it.

I was only referring to their trucks, not their cars. Specifically the tundra. They are having rot issues already. The 5.7's had to be re-called for something I can't recall at the moment. They can't yet take the hauling/towing abuse of the domestic trucks.
And yes, I'm slightly delusional.

New truck? Well if the money permitted then yup I would love an 05' 2500 4x4 with a cummins, or one of the power wagons. As many prolems as I have had with my truck I would still buy another. Most of my problems consist of the driver. The PO used it for construction work and I have out pulled a F-250 with my little "wimpy" 1/2 ton. The only thing I can say I had nothing to do with on my truck is the dash cracking. Plus I got 203,000 miles so far and it still rides and drives better then my step dads 00' F-150 with 100,000 on it. The toyota doesn't seem to be up to par yet to me. I have a 93' toy and it has been a good truck but they aren't made like those were. The chevy getts better fuel milage than the dodge but under the southern torture test we put an 05' 1500 4x4 and a 02' chevy 4x4 through the Dodge came back lookin for more. The night the 05' was totaled it went through a swampy area that a tractor wouldn't go through. The truck was driven off the side of a road about the length of two transfer trucks through trees and when they got it to the shop on the wrecker the guy drove it off and into the shop with only three tires still attached to the truck. But due to the fact that it broke an upper A arm off the insurance company totaled it. All in all they will take a beating, but like everything if you abuse it it will eventually break.

Ya, i'd buy another Dodge, but probably not another 2nd gen unless it was a Cummins. I have always liked the look of the 2nd gen best, but since they are 10 years old ( and older), I would probably look for something newer unless I could find a gem out there with really really really low miles. Now that I own a Hemi, I can tell how nice it would be to have one in a Ram, so that would be my other reason to look for a newer one. The magnum engines just don't hold a candle to the hemis.
So if I where to get a 1500, i'd probably try to get an '07 or '08. I just really like the look of those years the best of the 3rd gen Rams. I really don't like how the '09 and newer 4th gen Rams look.
If I was to get a 2500 with a Cummins, I would definetly still look at 2nd gens.
