here's the one i got. same as hammer. works well. never no problems. and i do have the underdrive crank pulley. charging goes down a good bit on the guage when stopped with the underdrive pulley. it didnt before i put the underdrive on though. a few extra horses to be had. it has a probe you insert into the radiator so it automatically comes on when you want it. plus low amp draw.

I did the same as Hammer and talon6. However, I got it here for cheaper than Jegs:

If you add it to your cart, I believe its $260 shipped (without variable speed controller). 3300 CFM and 18A draw. Bolts pretty nicely using the supplied brackets to the stock fan shroud's holes, with the exception of the driver's side upper. That hole is a little higher, and you need to get a little creative with the bracket (fab up a solution, or do as I do, and bend/twist a bracket to work).

I've been researching this and have accumulated a couple of web sites that might be helpful to you all. I like to research my projects a couple of months before I do them. I'm neurotic like that:

$260 is a damn good price, I paid $285 shipped in April of '06!!!
and it's a Lincoln Mark VIII, I typo'd...
Just make sure the fan you get is rated for a minimum of 2600 cfm, that's what a Hemi calls for and I'm sure it's enough for about any V8 gasser (diesels require higher). The Flex-a-Lite 180 Extreme is a 3300 cfm fan.
Also, for you off-roading types, you can get a simple on/off switch, wire it to the relay and use it as an over-ride. It's a big plus to be able to turn the fan off when crossing deep water or in deep mud so you aren't sucking gunk into your radiator fins. Flex-a-Lite sells one as an option, but you can do the same with a simple $3 switch from an auto parts store and a length of wire.
To date, I have not done this but I plan to at some point. I have done this on my ATV though and it's a simple mod...
